Lunedi Italiano: Dialogo Due!
This dialogue was a lot more difficult to write than the one for last week. Ther are a lot of words that I had to look up that ended up on flash cards because I shouldn't have forgotten them. So, if you are an Italian speaker and notice anything that isn't correct or that could be smoother, please let me know.
Le Amiche parlano del'anno nuovo.
Lucia: Come stai oggi?
Beatrice: Spettacolare! e tu, come stai, amica mia?
E, hai andato a pie a lavorare ieri!
Lucia: Si, ma oggi prendo il treno.
Translation:
Lucia: How are you today?
Beatrice: Spectacular! and you, how are you, my friend?
Lucia: So so. I don't think that I can keep my new year's resolutions.
Beatrice: What were your new year's resolutions?
Lucia: To walk to work every day (lit: to go by foot to work everyday) and not to eat many sweets.
Beatrice: But, you never eat many sweets and you walked to work yesterday!
Lucia: Yes, but today I took the train.
